Between sound and silence, between what is voiced and what longs to be heard, unfolds the work of Jasmin Namondo (1998, Germany) - spoken word artist, writer, curator and psychologist.
In Voices of Self, she invites us into an intimate terrain of introspection - on identity, mental health, and the layered experience of being. Poetry, for Jasmin Namondo, is both compass and companion: a way to learn, to unlearn and to come home to oneself. It is where language carries the truth - a place to trust and to rest.
Combining spoken word, visual poetry, a short film, photography and a sound installation, this exhibition traces a poetic cartography of the self. Multi-voiced echoes of self in motion: searching, unraveling, remembering, feeling, healing. Her work explores the journey of a Black woman in Germany: through psychosis and depression, through vulnerability and tenderness, and through moments of confusion and moments of clarity.
As a curator, Jasmin Namondo extends the space beyond the herself. With guest performances and collaborative initiative, she shapes a platform where self-expression of one becomes a mirror for collective reflection.
Voices of Self is a lyrical, multi-sensory offering - vulnerable, radically honest and open to transformation.
