Das Herz Open Mic Series (2024–2025)

From December 2024 to April 2025, Jasmin Namondo initiated and hosted Das Herz Open Mic, a weekly event series in Frankfurt. Across 18 evenings she curated an open stage format that offered space for over 80 local performers, to share their voice and art. Jasmin led the overall concept development, artist communication, event hosting, and cultivated a consistent, inclusive and welcoming platform with a community-oriented atmosphere.

Go West Festival x Impulse Poetry (2024)

As part of the Go West Festival 2024, Jasmin Namondo and Furat Abdulle - spoken word artists and co-founders of the platform Impulse Poetry - were invited to curate two events. Together they conceptualized and facilitated the Creative Flow workshop (Sept 15), and hosted Golden Words, a curated open mic night with a panel discussion (Oct 6). The collaboration brought poetic voices and community-centered dialogue into the festival’s exploration of artistic practice and urban transformation.

Afrika neu denken Conference (2024)

For the 2024 edition of the Afrika neu denken conference, Jasmin Namondo hosted the evening program featuring spoken word poetry performances and an open mic. The event took
place at Haus am Dom in Frankfurt and created space for artistic self-expression and political reflection in connection with the conference’s focus on rethinking Africa and the African
diaspora from decolonial, diasporic, and feminist perspectives.

Hayat Habibi*s Theater Festival (2024)

As part of the interdisciplinary Hayat Habibi*s theater festival in Frankfurt, Jasmin Namondo served in the production team and took lead production responsibility for the performance Das Leben – ein Spiel zwischen Liebe und Verrat by Ariella Hirshfeld. The festival centered queer, anti-racist, and transcultural perspectives and took place in summer 2024. Her tasks included planning, communication, artist support, and on-site coordination to ensure a smooth production process within the larger festival framework.

The Kids Are Alright. But they have to fight. (2024)

For the program The Kids Are Alright. But they have to fight., Jasmin Namondo Uffenbrink developed the spatial concept and visual design of the Mousonturm foyer. The project took place in February 2024 in remembrance of the racist attack in Hanau on February 19 and was part of a larger program addressing intergenerational perspectives on racist realities. Jasmin created a space of remembrance and encounter - offering seating, literature, and visual elements that supported the program's atmosphere and accessibility.

Spoken Word Event
Intercultural Week Heusenstamm (2023)

As part of the Intercultural Week 2023 themed Neue Räume, Jasmin Namondo curated and hosted a spoken word poetry event aimed at introducing the art form to a broader local audience. The event featured invited poets and an open mic segment to encourage public participation. She led the concept development, artist selection and coordination, program structure, and moderation, offering a platform for creative expression and democratic engagement.
